Our FUSE colleagues Martijn Kampshoff and Linda Breukers participated in the 3rd Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States OECS Nationally Determined Contributions (NDC) Investment Forum and Marketplace in Grenada. The reactions to their FUSE presentation and the encounters they had at the exhibition booth confirmed once again that our recycling solution can make a difference for small island developing states.
Hundreds of participants and partners from across the region and beyond had gathered to discuss and collaborate on solutions to tackle climate change and drive climate adaptation in the Caribbean under the theme, “Investing in Climate Action for a Resilient Future”.
We look forward to work with our new network contacts to make economically viable recycling possible on even more islands, ensuring a resilient and climate-smart Caribbean.
The OECS is a twelve-member grouping of islands spread across the Eastern Caribbean. The Caribbean NDC Investment Forum and Marketplace was founded by the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States OECS, the Government of Saint Lucia, NDC Partnership and the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (hashtag#UNFCCC). The 3rd NDC Investment Forum was proudly sponsored by the Government of Grenada, the European Union Global Gateway, the Caribbean Development Bank, the The OPEC Fund for International Development, Global Green Growth Institute, Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, German International Cooperation, and the NDC Partnership.
