The partnership between FUSE and B’s Recycling

On the 19th of February our partnership with B’s Recycling on Barbados was announced in the presence of the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen and Prime Minister of Barbados, Mia Amor Mottley. FUSE and B’s were invited to join the 48th Regular Meeting of Caricom Heads of Government in Bridgetown Barbados.

Together with B’s we will transform plastic waste into durable building materials. Plastics that previously had to be landfilled or exported can now be processed locally. The products made will be sold in local hardware stores. The aim of the collaboration is to boost the recycling sector in Barbados and contribute to Barbados’ ambition to reduce plastic pollution by 73 percent over the next 10 years.

B’s Recycling is Barbados’ largest recycling facility dedicated to reducing the number of recyclable materials entering the island’s only landfill. With the support of FUSE, B’s can diversify their activities and further implement their recycling mission.

We are very pleased with our new partnership and are looking forward to supporting each other and growing together!
